HOW TO OBTAIN AN eBIOPASSPORT FOR TOP END RACERS
To add credibility and fairness we are introducing a new, flexible, rule that allows us to ask for an eBIOPASSPORT from riders finishing in the top ten places of any West London VR Race. In reality, we are unlikely to ask known riders or those outside the top three places. Even if you are new, a narrow win with an average w/kg of under 5w/kg should not necessitate an eBIOPASSPORT.
So, in summary, if you put in a super performance with a top three finish and an average of over 5w/kg, you are likely to be asked and may be disqualified. We recommend that stronger riders get an eBIOPASSPORT just to cover themselves.
It may just be a badly calibrated set up, we know of one entirely innocent case where the rider was told how to set things up correctly and is now back competing at their natural level. It’s more fun for everyone. We doubt there is much, if any, deliberate cheating, but it is easier to set the record straight in advance if you are a strong rider.
We suspect that the vast majority of riders will not need an eBIOPASSPORT but are free to obtain one of course.
