West London Cycling are keen to have trips abroad for the community and our first ‘test event’ was an exploratory itinerary to the mythical land of the Flandrien Bergs, the iconic and infamous climbs and cobbles of the Ronde Van Vlaanderen (Tout of Flanders) in Belgium.
We travelled over by car and wasted no time by visiting the Tour of Flanders museum to whet our appetites for the Hellingen to come. Day two saw a ride out to conquer the iconic Muur Gerrardsbergen with lots of other climbs and cobbles en route. Day three saw a similar ride, this time ticking off the Koppenberg, Paterberg and Oude de Kwaremont amongst others.
