Can Nick Geenhalgh hold on to his Strava KOM in West London VR Race 6.3? The race with the Virtual Ride Segment on Strava….

Unusually for a virtual race, on Wednesday 9th November at 7.30pm UK Time West London VR Race 6.3 on The WEB Race Course (Windsor-Eton-Bray) has a Virtual Strava KOM Segment. Furthermore, most of the top 50 places were achieved on previous West London VR Races, held over our relatively long history in modern VRe-racing. In particular check out the West London Cycling races we ran on 11 May 2022 and 19 January 2022.

As it happens Nick Greenhalgh is joint 1st with Rasmus Feldballe, Johan Oelofse (NZ) and Kjell Gunnar Gjerdal (NZ); could you beat their 1 minute 33 on the Grid to Grid segment?

You can check out the segment using the link above or the screenshots below. Grid to Grid takes place across Dorney Common at about 6.4km into the race …. could we get a breakaway going for the KOm at that point?

It is very flat, in fact in real life it is quite open and can be quite windy (watch our real life preview), and times will depend on the wind direction. The best real life times are likely to have benefitted from strong tailwinds.

As usual, Race 6.3 is around 16km long, and this particular course is very flat. Expect a fast race on Wednesday 9th November at 7.30pm UK Time.
