West London VR has been a benchmark Wednesday night RGT event for over 30 months and is in it’s third year. It harks back to the earlydays and has been a great supporter of the platform for a long time. The races are popular with both the top riders and the regular guys, and girls. Let’s not forget that West London VR started the innovative Ladies League formula. We are now counting on the support of the RGT community more than ever, so make sure you’re on the line on WEDNESDAY 9th NOVEMBER at 7.30pm UK TIME …. it’s classic West London course
THE SERIES SO FAR AND WHAT IS IN STORE….
We are seeing the emerence of the front runners in 4 of the 6 classifications. Naturally, the best of six and best of twelve (The Dirty Dozen) classifications don’t ‘kick-in’ until later (as they are currently exactly the same as GC). However, whilst the Ladies League is based on each rider’s best six results, we do like to keep the current position on show as there is no repetition elsewhere.
Rasio Racing are currently the dominant team, both top of the Teams Classification and with three of the top four riders in GC. But we expect strong challenges from NoPinz3R and Moon Riders across the series and just look at Glasgow United flying high as ever!
The top og the GC is an all star cast of online racing legends, but remember that if any of the top guys miss a race, they risk forfeiting the title. This is why we created the Dirty Dozen Classification, to cover anyone missing just one race. For the rest of the GC standings please use the link below.
The Ladies League is particularly fascinating. Only the best six results count and the winning woman in each race is awarded 100 points. Consequently, it is conceivable that two riders could both end up with 600 points. If so, the tiebreaker will be the total points scored, such that the rider who has done the most races is likely to win. We mention this because the Series Five Champion, Ellen Lockett, cannot ride at the moment due to surgery, so will be looking for points when she returns. But meanwhile the wins are being desputed between Judith Newton and Caroline Reuter who look a very close match and may be one of the best rivalries of the series … we shall see.
Their respective teams, West London and RIAK currently lead the Ladies League Teams Competition.
