It’s easy and free to join in our West London Cycling Sunday Rides, although you might spend some money at the coffee stop!
Whilst these rides are social, we do provide several options so that faster riders can group together and slower ones can be more social as they enjoy our local scenery. The faster riders will generally do the longer of the two route options, and they are designed to try and ensure that the various groups arrive at the cafe stop at around the same time …. we told you it was social!
To ride you just need to turn up at 9am on any given Sunday at the Polish War Memorial (A40 Ruislip / Northolt). We generally ride road bikes, but it’s not a rule (we don’t have many rules, maybe more like protocols perhaps?) and you should be able to average over 22kph in the slowest group, the fast group will exceed that by a lot, but everything depends on terrain, distance and who turns up.
We tend to ride from about 50km to around 100km, with 70km probably the average distance. Rides in winter tend to be shorter.
As stated, it is free to ride and we provide free GPX files for you to download onto your bike computer for the ride.
Routes are only available to members, so you will need to sign up and subscribe to West London Cycling (There is a tab above for joining up). Once a member, use the Members’ Zone tab above and select Rides and Routes from the dropdown where you’ll find hundreds of cycling routes to enjoy, including the particular Sunday Ride you need for each upcoming Sunday.
See you at the Polish War Memorial at 9am Sunday!
