We are delighted with the racing this summer as waves of riders come indoors every other Wednsday for the West London VR Races … but maybe Alisdair McAlpine and James Melville aren’t quite as thrilled as, for the second race running they were forced into second and third places as le Francais Anthony Dubre stormed home for the win.
Nevertheless, the McAlpine and Melville Dumbarton Duo will still be pleased that their respective quests for the General Classification will have gained gound and their club, Glasgow United tightened its grip on the Teams Classification. In the General Classification Alisdair is keeping Jan Vanaudenaerde, Rob Miller and Craig Jones at bay …. at least for now!
Aileen Davidson also made sure Scotland was celerating over and above the fantastic results their football team has been achieving recently as she took the Ladies League win with Maria Witzke helping consolidate West London Ladies hold on the Ladies Team table. Maria leads the Ladies League but Aileen has ridden less races.
