We are launching our BOT FREE Monday Race Series on Indie Velo on the 24th July, there will be trophies for the Series Winners and in both General Classification and Ladies League.
But first there were three test races, culminating in the 17th July North Lake Loop, over 5 laps. The power of the front riders and the three climbs on each lap broke the field up and this made for a very fragmented race compared to the earlier, flatter, test races.
At first a group of 8 got away, but this was gradually whittled down and by lap 5 there were just three riders in contention, Tim Humpton, David Hawkins and Erwin Sprengers. First Erwin was dropped, then Tim powered away and grabbed a brilliant solo win, leaving David Hawkins to chalk up a worthy third place.

Test Race Three Results
In the General Classification the winning rider will get 100 points, second place gets 99 points, third receives 98 points and so on …..
Female riders will score points in the General Classification, in the normal way, plus Ladies League points using our bespoke method designed to make it competitive in any field, regardless of the number of women racing. It is tried and tested and works, so if you’re still a bit orange, give it a try, coz other colours are available!
In Ladies League, the first lady will get 100 points, regardless of her GC finishing poistion. All subsequent females will get 100 minus the number of places they are behind the first woman in GC. So, if the first lady is 20th in GC, and the second is 27th; the first wman gets 100 points and the secnd gets 93 points and so on.
This gives everyone an incentive to sprint regardless of the gaps between lady racers because an extra place gained by beating a male rider can result in an extra Ladies League point. It becomes exciting even where there are gaps … get in girls, and give it some G-Force!
AND IT’S ALL BOT FREE!
