Those wonderful chaps from ZMS will be at it again on Monday, so whether you are riding or not, get tuned into West London VR’s Monday Malarkey Race 1.7 with commentary on Monday 4th September at 7.30pm UK Time for an intriguing battle up Mont Malarkey …. and there’s 20 bonus points for every finisher this week …. climb the mountain and climb the table …. get in!

This Monday as we ascend the Indie Velo Island’s bald climb (we’ve called it Mont Malarkey for this week) and we think any finisher deserves an extra 20 bouns points towards GC, Ladies League and the Best of Six Classifications. Essentially, this race can be broken down into a flat (ish start) then a long climb to the top of ‘Mont Malarkey’ then a long descent and flat (ish) finish. It’s basically an ‘UP and OVER’ race. However, the base of the climb is steep, before the climb steadies to a more manageable gradient allowing a steady cadence. There is a short steep ramp just at the top too. We have previed the course in the video below.

As usual, we will have a teams race, but there is no Series Teams Classication, teams category is just per race until Series Two starting in October.
