West London VR Indoor TTT team switches to MyWhoosh ... we are recruiting riders, why not join us?

As some of you will already know, we have been helping MyWhoosh and OTR test the forthcoming OTR online TTT racing series. So far, we have done two races, and the feedback from the first resulted in improvement for the second. It isn’t quite perfect yet, and anyone switching platforms knows that no two platforms behave exactly the same, so one has to get used to each one.

West London VR have helped pioneer platforms including RGT, IndieVelo and Cadesport in the past. Only IndieVelo is still around and we look forward to racing on there again in the Autumn/Fall. But MyWhoosh is the exiting new free to use platform, chosen by the UCI for the official World Championships. This means that MyWhoosh is under pressure to make everything perfect before the World Championships … so expect constant ongoing improvements.

MyWhoosh is free to use, not just in Beta, but will always be free. It has some Zwift characteristics supficially, insofar as it has a mix of real and fictitious animated scenery. It also has steering. There are several ‘worlds’ each with several choices of courses. The first download is quite big, so allow some time, but once downloaded you can get going quite easily. Any new platform will have a new layout and feel, so they all take a little ‘getting used to’ but we are getting in the MyWhoosh flow after a few rides.
