It’s Phat and Flat and Wargrave’s where it’s at … start at the Polish War Memorial 9am Sunday 14th July for more Sunday Funday riding with West London Cycling
A popular route to the Velolife riverside cafe at Wargrave, a slightly longer route for a Sunday but very flat for the most part and quite manageable. Definitely a summer ride, so don’t miss out, or you’ll be waiting until summer 2025 for another chance!
Sunday 14th July, starts at 9am from the Polish War Memorial (A40 Ruislip / Northolt)
There are two route options, so find the one that suits you but beware that the faster riders do the longer routes, and slower ones the shorter versions.
You can choose your route on the day, and which group you ride in. We generally have several groups on the road, depending on how many people are riding, so it’s flexible and tailored to riders’ needs. The slowest group will generally wait for the slowest rider (or split into sub groups) but you should be able to manage 30kph on flat stretches with an average speed of around 22kph over the distance. Faster groups will be more speedy of course.
