A West London Cycling social lunch subsidised by donating your unwanted bike equipment and gear to our Bring and Buy sale (it is not for profit or gain – all proceeds must be put towards a community lunch).

We are putting the fun back into clearing out your garage or shed of unwanted bike equipment. A club social at the wonderful Coy Carp in Harefield preceeded by a Bring and Buy Sale at 10am.

The idea was originally to offer unwanted items free to other club members, but to avoid people just grabbing free stuff because it is free, we thought we’d put some sort of price tag in place so that the right people got the right gear. Of course, if you buy or sell you will be entitled to take part in the lunch, subsidised by the payments .. everyone wins!

We have set a price limit of £6 per item, however, if, say, a nice groupset is on offer then maybe charge £6 per component to make the aggregate price a little more commensurate with the product. Nice wheels could, perhaps, be £6 for each wheel plus £6 each for discs and cassette (total £30) for example. Remember, this is to help clear space in your bike shed for nice shiny new gadgets, not a chance to make money, you are donating anything you bring to sell in order to fund the social lunch.
