Slight Route Modification for the West London Cycling Sunday Ride on Sunday 25th August

As many West London Cyclonauts already know, our good friend Shirley at the Rusty Bike Cafe in Uxbridge has not been well recently. We all wish her well.

With the uncertainty of the Rusty Bike Cafe being open on Sunday, we have added Jenner’s Cafe at Boulters Lock in Maidenhead to our popular Fat Duck, Fine Riding course and given it the name Fat Duck Waterside Boult, recognising that the Waterside Inn in Bray has now become one of our traditional photo stops.

There are two route options, so find the one that suits you but beware that the faster riders do the longer routes, and slower ones the shorter versions.

You can choose your route on the day, and which group you ride in. We generally have several groups on the road, depending on how many people are riding, so it’s flexible and tailored to riders’ needs. The slowest group will generally wait for the slowest rider (or split into sub groups) but you should be able to manage 30kph on flat stretches with an average speed of around 22kph over the distance. Faster groups will be more speedy of course.

OPTION ONE: Fat Duck Waterside Boult 59km

OPTION TWO: Fat Duck Waterside Boult Extra Course 63km
