PYRENEES 2024:
OPTION ONE: LUSH LANDSCAPES (Gorges, Cols, Mountains and More)
WEEKEND ONE: ONLY ONE PLACE REMAINING
The riding will be similar to our 2024 expedition (see photos below)
Thursday 5th June to Monday 9th June (Focusing mainly on a variety of local rides inclunding scenic gorges, cols and at least one high mountain)
OPTION TWO: BIG CLIMBS (Targeting high mountains)
WEEKEND TWO: SOLD OUT
Thursday 12th June to Monday 16th June (Aimed at travelling out to some high mountains by minibus to bag some famous cols a contribution to minibus fuel costs will apply, to be paid whilst there)
Accomodation based in Espezel
Flights BA from Heathrow to Toulouse (Yeah, we know they have an appalling lost luggage record .. just try and take hand luggage only). We must all get the same flights to enable transfers … you can take a different flight but will forfeit the transfers from the airport in France.

Flights will change in price but, depending on your luggage choices, anticipate £150 to £200
IF YOU INSIST ON FLYING A SUPERIOR AIR LINE TO BA:
Easyjet also fly to Toulouse (from Gatwick) but at the time of publishing not all of the dates are available. We also anticipate that flights out will be in the evening and impractical in terms of transfers.
Ryannair fly to Carcassone but, at the time of publishing they do not fly Mondays and Thursdays for some reason (probably using the plane on another route we suspect).
Bike Hire from Velomondo Prices TBA but around £125 or under depending on type of bike. Our host can arrange this and will pick up and return bikes.
Accomodation £80 per night includes dinner, breakfast, beer fridge and airport transfers. Total £320 for four nights.
We think it should cost around £650 but you will need to book your own flights and prices will go up nearer the time.
Accomodation in Espezel is at the home of Gavin Grant who has been converting a property and we will be one of the early groups to use his new facility. Gavin is a cyclist we know from Twickenham CC. The maximum number of people is 8 for each weekend trip.
