Rollin' Bones up the Chess Valley with their Mojos Workin' in the rain and spray; No mind dem Muddy Waters, We'all goin cyclin'!
It was another Michael Fish day, last week it wasn’t as windy as the Met. Office Health and Safety Committee thought, but this week it was wetter than they predicted … consistently wrong then….
Woke up this mornin’, and got the Weatherman Blues
I said, I woke up this morning, with the Weatherman Blues,
Looked at my Cyclin’ kit, not knownin’ what to choose
We had 23 riders, all out in the rain

A couple of Punctures, and one dropped chain
A stop at the cafe, for coffee and grub

West London Cycling, your local ride club
Ultimately, it wasn’t too bad, the temperature was OK, the rain wasn’t hard, but there was a lot of spray. But West London Cycling don’t mind a bit of Muddy Waters* along the Chess Valley do they?
* Muddy Waters is a Blues legend. The Rolling Stones named themselves after one of his records, he did the original of Etta James’ ‘I just wanna make love to you’ (think Coca Cola adverts) and recorded on the legendary Chess Records in Chicago.
