AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY RANDONAX ENTRIES OPEN 7am SATURDAY 5th APRIL
Our first 200km DIY of the year is on 29th March.
We have fine-tuned PK’s original historical tour ride into a concise DIY with a finish at Winchester as it is easier to facilitate bikes on trains from there than Salisbury. To achieve this, we have taken out some historical sites along the way, but if you want that route for future use, check with PK (pictured above).
PLEASE NOTE:
THIS IS THE WEEKEND THAT THE CLOCKS GO BACK SO YOU MAY WELL BE RIDING IN THE DARK TOWARDS THE END BECAUSE THE CLOCKS CHANGE AFTER THIS RIDE NOT BEFORE IT – GET GOOD COUNTRY LIGHTS (as opposed to city commuter lights..
THIS RIDE INVOLVES A TRAIN JOURNEY HOME – YOU NEED TO BOOK A TICKET IN ADVANCE AND MAKE SURE YOU BOOK A TIME YOU CAN MANAGE. REMEMBER THAT OTHER RIDERS HAVE BOOKED VARIOUS RETURN TIMES HOME, SO MAY NOT BE ABLE TO RIDE SLOWLY WITH YOU IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING!
THIS IS AN X-RATED EVENT FOR EXPERIENCED RIDERS. THERE ARE NO SCHEDULED STOPS APART FROM THE BAKERY AT WHITCHURCH (YOU CAN STOP ANYWHERE FOR FOOD AND WATER BUT THERE ARE NO SOCIALCOFFEE STOPS PLANNED APART FROM WHITCHURCH).
7am START FROM THE POLISH WAR MEMORIAL. ANTICIPATE BETWEEN 10 – 12 HOURS TO FINISH INCLUDING STOPS.
