WEST LONDON CYCLING

West London and Chilterns Cycling … plus loads more

Robert Melton rode most of our 200km ‘A Kelsic Education’ ride on Good Friday in the small chainring after half the teeth sheared off his large chainring during the ride. Whilst, luckily, the crankset is still under warranty, it’s not exactly what one needs on their longest ride to date is it? Well done Robert!

Meanwhile, Wayne Cottingham from Stevenage did the whole ride ‘Single Speed’ due to DIY battery issues … Chapeau Sir!

An honourable mention to Paul Saunders too, who managed to find te loose connnection stopping him enjoying the small chainring on the early hills about half way around.

Overall, a great day out on Pete Kelsety’s route from 2018, slightly tweaked to start from Ruislip. Fourteen riders and most made it back before the rain despite the strong headwind on the homeward journey. Nice cafe stops in Ampthill and Shefford added to the enjoyment.
