What a weekend! … a 280km ride around the Cantii Way, ‘sandwiched’ between two localrides from Ramsgate which both visited Sandwich … a four day ride with pretty much everything a UK tour could offer!
The Cantii way is about 20% off road, so we did it on Gravel Tyres. It included steep offroad climbs, fields, sand, slush, gravel and more, all done whilst bike-packing as we split the ride into two days with an overnight stay in Hastings. The climb out of Folkstone was seriously tough, both on the offroad and onroad sections.
Either side of the Cantii Way expedition, we did two local rides from our base in Ramsgate, which included the infamouse Ham – Sandwich sign …. which should be on everyone’s bucket list!
