Check out the 13 races between October 2021and March 2022 that make up RGT’s Fast, furious and fun Wednesday Whizz series.…..AND IT’S ALL FREE!
October 2021 TO MARCH 2022 featuring 13 races
Our popular 16km online virtual races will enter Series four from mid October 2021. Each race is approximately 16km / 10 miles long and you’ll need to have a smart trainer or power meter along with a free registration with RGT. It is totally free to enter and RGT subscriptions are free too. Over the last few series’ West London VR has become one of the leading virtual cycle racing series around, attracting top riders and open to everyone else too. RGT has also built a reputation as the most realistic racing platform too.
Four ways to win or achieve an award, 13 races of 16km, convenient Wednesday evening time slots (Europe), 5 undulating courses (Short Fast Climbs), 6 flat races (Bunch Sprints), one individual time trial (Flat) and the traditional finale of a criterium race on the Hillingdon Circuit.
The series will be streamed live so you can be seen on the screen, the races aren’t graded so natural selection occurs and you will almost certainly find yourself in groups with similar paced riders to compete with and have rivalries with. Or why not just race and see how you get on as a training exercise …. many do! And for the regulars there is our 21 Done Club Award sent free to anyone completing 21 races.
You can check out all of the routes below, there are real life preview videos and more information to help you plan your strategy.
WEST LONDON VR SERIES FOUR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP: The winner of each race will be awarded 100 points with 99 for second down to 1 point for 100th and 101st onwards. There are 13 races, on alternate Wednesdays starting on Wednesday 13th October at 7.30pm (UK time).
WEST LONDON VR SERIES FOUR TEAM CLASSIFICATION. Whilst all riders should enter and ride each race individually, they can concurrently score team points in the team classification in each race if they choose to join a team. Riders will be participating simultaneously in both the individual and team classifications.. Teams can be made up of two, three or four riders and the individual points earned by the top two from the team are added together to give a Team Score (ie if the top two riders scored, say, 83 and 77 points individually, then the team would also score 160 points). So you will only really need two riders to enter a team, but can’t have more than four. If only one rider can make it we will still count their solo score for that race. Remember, this is in addition to the individual championships so either being in a team or not being in a team has no effect on your individual placings. You do not need to ride alongside each other, it’s just the best two individual scores that go to the team tally. Clubs may enter more than one team. TO ENTER A TEAM PLEASE EMAIL THE RIDERS’ NAMES AND TEAM NAME TO westerleyDM@gmail.com
WEST LONDON SERIES FOUR ‘SIX TIMES TABLE’ COMPETITION The points from your six best rides will be counted and the rider with the most points at the end of the series will win this competition. It will be of interest to anyone who misses a race in the main competition, but even if you don’t, it is possible to augment your score by bettering your current 6th best place. Naturally, up until Race 4.7 it will ‘mirror’ the main classification.
THE 21 DONE CLUB Complete 21 Races across more than one series and we wil send you a free 21 Done Club badge.
