GREAT BRITISH RIDES
AUDAX AAA RIDES
West London Cycling’s series of DIY audaxes that you can use to gain Audax Altitude Award points locally.
These rides can count towards Audax UK’s AAA awards and, with the exception of the Chilternham Holtspur, the Grimpeur de Sud award.
Chiltern Churner 220km – 3.00 AAA points
Starting in Ruislip, this ride zig zags to capture the climbs. The worst of the climbing is over by around 160kms and the route reaches out to Berkhamsted, Stokenchurch, Wycombe, Amersham, Beaconsfield and Maidenhead. So you are never too far from home if you need to return!
Parking at car park in Linden Avenue near Ruislip Manor Tube Station (Free on Sundays and Bank Holidays)

Chiltern Hillturns 225km – 2.25 AAA
Starting in Ruislip, this route packs the hills in to the first 145km and you can enjoy a flat-ish return. Going up to Tring in the north and Ascot in the south the AAA points are scored in the earlier section of the ride.

Cheeky Chilterner 120km – 1.75 AAA points

Chiltern Chillout 145km – 2.25 AAA points
Starting in Ruislip, this route shares some roads with the Chiltern Churner but is shorter for those shorter days.
Parking at St.Martin’s Approach Car Park (Free on Sundays)
Registered with Paul Stewart (SE Audax DIY Organiser). No: Brevet DIYSE4640 (quote when entering).
Chilternham Holtspur – 61km – 1 AAA point
Starting in Holtspur (near Beaconsfield) this ride doesn’t score many points (no football jokes please) but it can be done in a morning or afternoon. Skirting Wycombe, this ride brushes Hughenden and Chesham.
